An Eightify alternative that does more than summarize
Eightify is popular as a browser extension for one-click YouTube summaries, but it lives inside your browser and does a single job. MyShorts is a web-based alternative — nothing to install — that summarizes any YouTube video from a pasted link and then keeps going. Because it reads the full transcript rather than the title and description, hour-long podcasts, lectures and webinars summarize just as reliably as short clips, complete with key points, takeaways and section timestamps you can click back into.
From summary to notes, Q&A and Shorts
The reason to switch is everything Eightify doesn't do. From the same link, MyShorts also produces clean editable notes you can export, grounded Q&A that answers from the transcript and cites the timestamp, a full searchable transcript, and face-aware 9:16 Shorts cut from the best moments. So the same video you summarized becomes study notes, research answers and publishable clips — without copying text into three other apps or juggling a separate extension for each task.
One video, everything
MyShorts does more than this.
The same YouTube link powers every one of these.
